Why We Built This Site
Tennessee court access is broad, but Rutherford County does not place every case in one database. The Circuit Court Clerk keeps Circuit and General Sessions registers, the Clerk and Master maintains Chancery files, and each city court keeps its own municipal matters. Calendars, indexes, and certified copies also serve different needs. We organize local contacts, official search tools, number formats, and request methods so those distinctions are clear.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how Rutherford County criminal and civil dockets are searched and read
- Court dates: how to read a setting and confirm it with the right clerk
- Case lookups: how party-name and case-number searches work in the county system
- Record requests: how court files and certified copies are requested from their custodian
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Tennessee court, clerk, or government agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
